What To Write in a Christmas Card: Humorous

Sometimes when you send out your Christmas cards, you want to give the person on the receiving end a smile, from humor.

There really aren’t any set rules to what you should put in your Christmas card for your personal message, so feel free to go a different direction then most. Have fun with it and your friends and family on the other end of the stamp will enjoy the fun.

Santa won’t mind either…

Here are some Humorous Christmas Messages that you could write in a Christmas Card:

  • Santa called the other day. He needed someone to vouch for your ‘goodness’ this year and you should know, I got your back. Merry Christmas my friend!

I heard a rumor that you made the ‘good’ list this year! See my friend, it’s never to late to turn a new leaf!  Be good, be safe, and have fun this Holiday season.

  • Cookies, sugar plums, eggnog and good cheer. Let’s just live it up this Christmas Season and then we’ll join the New Years Eve exercise mob. Merry Calorie Christmas!

How many Reindeer does it take to decorate a Christmas Tree? I don’t know either but as soon as you get a chance come over to my house, help me decorate and we’ll find out. See you soon and Happy Holidays my friend!

  • As always, your secrets are safe with me so you shouldn’t have any issues with the big guy from the North bringing you everything on your Christmas list. Merry Christmas my Friend!

Remember, Santa doesn’t count calories against us during the Holiday Season, so eat up, be merry, have fun and we’ll worry about it all when the bills come in January. Merry Christmas!

  • This is my Christmas message for the year. Had I been more creative you would feel all mushy and warm inside. (I got a smile there…didn’t I?!) Merry Christmas!!

Sure, these are a bit ‘corny’ but having fun with your Christmas Card messages during the Holiday season can certainly make your card stand out.

Above all, have fun when you sit down and decide What to Write in a Christmas Card

What to Write in a Christmas Card

What to Write in a Christmas CardWhat to write in a Christmas card is the question all of us ask ourselves when we sit down with a fresh box of Christmas cards, a roll of Christmas Stamps and our address book.

To make things easier on ourselves, there’s a couple of things we can do to make this process quicker, more manageable and the enjoyable experience it should be.

Before we start writing our Christmas card wish, let’s get organized first.

  • Use 1 Christmas card as a ‘test’ card and try out various pens on the surface. Does the ink smear easily? Does the pen feel comfortable gliding across the surface of your Christmas card? Try a few pens out and you’ll ‘know’ the right one when you get use it.
  • Have your address book at hand. Once you’ve written your Christmas message, you’ll want to address the envelope, seal it, stamp it and get on to the next one.
  • Light a candle, put on some Christmas music book and here we go…

Hands down, I’ve discovered the best way to finish 20…40…60 Christmas cards in a timely manner, is to pick 1, maybe 2, general Christmas messages that will go on ALL of my cards. It would be nice to write a personal letter on each and every card, but that’s difficult for even the most prolific writer. There is nothing wrong with creating one sentiment that you like and sending it to everyone.

Write down on a piece of paper whatever you’ve picked to go into all of your Christmas Cards as your reference and now you’re ready to go.
